I started sewing at about 9 yrs of age. That was when I was able to start in 4-H. I really didn't enjoy sewing but continued to sew a 4-H project annually with encouragement from others.

I was really the outdoor type that loved being with her father whether it was farming or fixing whatever needs fixing which is where I learned my mechanical skills. At 16, I began working as a clerk in a Fabric Store. (Go figure?) Well, it turns out those mechanical skills I learned helped tremendously with learning how to use and diagnose Sewing machines. After being exposed to all the Fabric and Pattern choices turns out I really did like sewing! I made my husband a shirt, ask him about it sometime! I bought my first sewing machine, and started doing alterations for local clothing stores and have made many numerous other projects.

Fast forward many years later and a few local sewing businesses were going out of business. I dreaded the thought of losing another store. My husband encouraged me to look at opening a store and here we are 6 months later and my family is embracing the BERNINA STITCHIN POST. We can't personally wait to meet you and learn about your sewing journey. We look forward to helping you enjoy and expand your skills.
BERNINA STITCHIN POST welcomes everyone. Young to old, men and women, beginners to advanced, help one another find their Enjoyment of Sewing.
